Friday, August 28th   "Movin' On In"

 

9am-4pm                   New Students Move Into Residence Halls: Golf carts will be zipping around campus providing transportation, a schedule of events and much needed water!

1pm-3pm                   Disability Services Reception: In Campus Center room 183

4:30pm-5:30pm        First Year Advisement: Click here to get the location of your meeting!

4:30pm-5:30pm      Transfer Student Panel Q & A: Join us in CC 114 to get your questions answered about being a transfer student at SUNY Oswego

5:30pm-6:45pm        New Student Picnic in the Academic Quad

7pm-8pm                  Floor Meetings in Residence Halls: Get together with your RA and floor mates for an fun, information meeting!

8:30pm-9:30pm       19th Annual Torchlight Ceremony in Convocation Arena: Take part in an Oswego tradition! Immediately following the ceremony, students will be directed towards the opening events! 

9:30pm-12am          First Night Oswego!!! at the Convocation Center, North Lawn: Its one huge party!!! Enjoy the sounds of Up the Chain, live from Philly! Partake in laser tag and the inflatable sports arena!  You can also pimp your flippy floppies, get airbrushed tattoos, and so much more!!!

 

 

Saturday, August 29th     "A Day to be Involved"

 

9:45am-11:45am     Project Paint at Riverwalk in Oswego: A great first year student only community service opportunity! Transportation will be provided from the Campus Center bus loop.

12pm-2pm               Project Play at Lee Hall Fields hosted by Campus Recreation: Join in on some friendly competition between Residence Halls!

2pm-6pm                 Blood Drive at the Ice Arena Concourse: Every donor will receive a coupon for free ice cream from Friendly's!

6:15pm-7:15pm      Transfer Student Reception in CC114: The perfect opportunity for transfer students to connect with other transfers!

7pm-11pm               SAPB Carnival at the Convocation Center, North Lawn: It's going to be a super fun extravaganza!

 

 

Sunday, August 30th        "Not-So-Lazy Sunday"

 

2pm-4pm                  Shuttles to Wal-Mart: The perfect time to pick up anything you may have forgotten to pack.  Meet at the Campus Center Bus loop.

3pm-4pm                  GST 100 Meetings: If you are registered for GST 100, it's time to meet your fellow classmates and facilitators.

7pm-8pm                  Floor Meetings in Residence Halls: An opportunity to meet all the other students who are living on your floor!

8:30pm                     Over occupied Rooms Meeting in Residence Halls: Look in your respective residence halls for more information.

 

 

Monday, August 31st         "It's the First Day!!!"

 

12pm-2pm                 "A Great Date is a Safe Date" Rally in the Quad hosted by the Lifestyles Center

8pm-9pm                    Laker Bingo in the Campus Center Ice Arena: Play bingo for prizes! We will be giving away other goodies using the passports you completed during Orientation!  Be there so you can claim your prize!

9pm-11pm                  Smarter Than a Freshman in the Campus Center Activity Court hosted by SAPB

 

 

Tuesday, September 1st     "A Day for City Awareness"

 

10am-3pm                Cruisin' the City at the Ice Arena:  Come to this resource fair and get connected with the various businesses in the city of Oswego.

2pm                           Varsity Women's Soccer at Laker Fields

4pm                           Varisity Men's Soccer at  Laker Fields: Come support your Oswego State athletes!

7pm                           ORI Movie Premier in Waterman Theatre

 

 

Wednesday, September 2nd    "Halfway Through the Week Already!"

 

10am-3pm                 Involvement Fair in the Campus Center Ice Arena: Many of the student organizations will be represented at this resource fair! Come check it out!

3pm                      Screening and Discussion on the TV Series "Battlestar Galactica" in room 118 of the Campus Center

 

8pm                            Comedian Michael Dean Ester at Waterman Theatre

 

 

Thursday, September 3rd         "Get Out and Explore the Community!"

 

7am-6pm                   Community Involvement Day in the City of Oswego: Another amazing community service opportunity! Transportation will be provided.

5pm-9pm                   Farmer's Market on West 1st Street: Come experience one of the things that makes Oswego so charming!

8pm-9pm                   Comedian Wendi Fox at Waterman Theatre

9pm-12am                 Grooves and Grinds in the CC Activity Court: This event, hosted by the The Lifestyles Center, is one of many you can attend throughout the semester!

9pm                      Outdoor Movie located on the Quad hosted by SAPB

 

 

Friday, September 4th               "Green and Gold Day"

 

7pm-8:30pm              Green & Gold Ice Cream and Roll:  Wear your green and gold while you grab a scoop of ice cream and rollerskate in the ballroom!  For more information click here.

8pm-12am                 First Year Semi-Formal at the American Foundry: Celebrate the start of the weekend with a night of dancing, food and fun at a beautiful Oswego landmark!

 

 

Saturday, September 5th              "Be the Star That You Are!"

 

11am                         Make Me a Star hosted by SAPB: Join us in the Campus Center Auditorium for your Hollywood debut!

1pm                           Varsity Women's Field Hockey at Laker Fields

1pm                           Varsity Women's Soccer at Laker Fields

TBA                           NYS Fair Shuttle: Tickets can be purchased through the Orientation Office and shuttle will depart from the CC Bus Loop.  See the Centro bus schedule for further transportation times.

7pm                           Make Me A Star Finale hosted by SAPB: See your final product in the Campus Center Auditorium!
