IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware that the following fees are different if you are attending First Year Student Orientation or Transfer Orientation. If you have any questions regarding the cost of a program please contact 315-312-5522 or orient@oswego.edu for further assistance. -Thank you-
$105.00 per person for a single occupancy room & all programs
$90.00 per person for a double occupancy room & all programs
$75.00 per person - program only (on-campus lodging not provided)
$35.00 per sibling (13-18 years)*
$15.00 per sibling (ages 12 and under)*
*Siblings will stay in the same room with adult guest(s). They should bring sleeping bags and floor mat, if desired. No mattresses are available.
Special Offer: $10.00 per person (additional fee) (This offer is for First Year Programs ONLY) This year, the Orientation Team has decided to give parents and guest a taste of what the City of Oswego has to offer by hosting our traditional Parent and Family reception at Patz on the River Restaurant located in the Harbor of Lake Ontario! Join us at the end of Day 1 for dessert and coffee (covered by $10.00 fee) and get a chance to connect further with SUNY Oswego staff and the Oswego Community! This event is open to all guests staying on and off campus during the Orientation program. Limited transportation is available. To accommodate all of our guests, a small event will take place in Riggs Hall during the same time. More details will follow via this website and through home mail.
For Reservations: Complete the parent/family reservation process when reserving a spot for the orientation program date through myOswego! When making a reservation, have family member's names ready as well as the type of accommodations that you are seeking.
*On-campus accommodations are available the evening before for those that are traveling great distances for the low cost of $15 per person. Please contact the Orientation Office for more information.
The two day fee includes: Brunch, an afternoon reception and dinner on the first day, breakfast and lunch on the second day, as well as refreshment breaks.
During our two-day First Year Orientation program, your student is required to stay in a designated residence hall (Johnson Hall). Although we recommend that parents/family stay on campus, we also recognize that staying in "dorm style" accommodations is not for everyone. With that in mind, we have enclosed a list of local hotels/motels. Please remember that our Parent/Family Orientation Program continues well into the evening on the first day and begins early (8:00am) on the second day. If you choose to stay off campus, watch your schedules closely - we don't want you to miss out on anything!
If only one parent/family member will be attending Orientation, please consider sharing a room with another parent/family member of the same gender. The family member's fee would be $90.00 rather than $105.00 and would provide us with more rooms to accommodate other family members. Our staff reservationist will facilitate all roommate pairings.
