Welcome! The following provides information related to your upcoming Orientation experience. Please follow all instructions!
January Orientation Program dates are as follows:
January 13th (First Year and Transfer Students, plus a Parent/Family Orientation program)
January 22nd (First Year and Transfer Students)
Please log onto your MyOswego account by visiting www.oswego.edu/myoswego and complete the following, You will need your student ID number as well as your pin number to complete the following. If you have any questions concerning your student id number or your pin number, please contact the Admissions Office at (315) 312-2250.
Once you are logged into MyOswego, click on the "New Student Menu" and complete steps outlined immediately.
Step One: Activate your SUNY Oswego email account (Your Oswego email is the official form of communication with SUNY Oswego and must be activated in order to register for classes). SUNY Oswego email account.
Step Two: Complete your Health and Immunization Forms and MMR survey. For more information, contact the Mary Walker Health Center at (315)312-4100. THESE FORMS ARE MANDATORY AND STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BEGIN CLASSES UNLESS THESE FORMS ARE ON FILE.
Step Three: Contact Financial Aid to make arrangements for any loans or other financial assistance you may need. For more information, please call (315)312-2248.
Step Four: Complete your Residence and Housing information to obtain housing for the 2009-2010 academic year. If you have any questions, please call (315)312-2246.
Step Eight: Complete the reservations process for selecting which Orientation program you would like to attend. Please note: There is a parent/family Orientation program that coincides with the January 13th program but there is NOT a parent/family program for the January 22nd. There is a $25 per parent/family member fee (12 years of age and older) which provides for continental breakfast, lunch and materials.
- In addition to the steps outlined above, there are additional items within the New student Menu that may be applicable to your experience. This would include Math Placement Test. Please click here to see what majors will need to take the Math Placement Test.
- All Childhood Education Majors (except for Childhood Ed majors with Math Concentrate) are required to take a Math Proficiency Exam. This exam begins at 8:00am (details at check-in) on the day of your program.
Once you complete your reservation for your Orientation program, you will receive detailed information regarding specifics related to your Orientation program day via your SUNY Oswego email account. In general, program check in begins at 7:30am in the Campus Center and the day ends at approximately 4:00pm.
