Welcome Fall 2014 Students and Families!!

We are very excited you have chosen to join our SUNY Oswego family! Before you embark on your collegiate journey, there are a few important steps that you must complete prior to attending an Orientation Program. For a comprehensive list, please log on to myOswego and click on the New Student Menu. After you have submitted your deposit, you will receive a mailing from our Orientation Office with detailed information on the steps found in the New Student Menu that will help you register for an Orientation Program. In the meantime, please take a look at the information on our website, which will give you an idea of what you can expect from the registration process in general and from our Orientation Programs. We are looking forward to seeing you this summer!

We offer 7, two-day programs for our First Year students and 3, one-day programs for our Transfer students.

First Year Student Dates:

  • Tuesday & Wednesday,  July 1 & 2
  • Monday & Tuesday,  July 7 & 8
  • Thursday & Friday,  July 10 & 11  
  • Sunday & Monday,  July 13 & 14     
  • Sunday & Monday,  July 20 & 21  
  • Wednesday & Thursday, July 23 & 24
  • Tuesday & Wednesday, July 29 & 30

Transfer Student Dates:

  • Thursday,  June 26  
  • Wednesday,  July 16
  • Wednesday, August 6

Orientation 2013

In order  to register for your Orientation program, you must complete the steps outlined below:

  • E-mail is an official form of communication for SUNY Oswego. An official college e-mail account ends with "" All students are assigned and are expected to activate their SUNY Oswego e-mail account after they have paid their admissions deposit. Official communications from SUNY Oswego will be sent through this new student's e-mail account.  Please refer to the "New Student Menu" in myOswego for information on how to activate your SUNY Oswego  e-mail account.
  • All new students must complete a Medical Health History Form (online), the Meningitis Survey (online), and submit his/her Immunization Records either by fax or e-mail to the Mary Walker Health Center prior to being eligible to select an Orientation Program. You do not need to have a physical examination in order to select an Orientation program. If you are an incoming Athlete and have any questions regarding the Physical Health Form, please contact the Mary Walker Health Center at 315-312-4100.
  • All new students must submit the New Student Information Sheet (online) prior to registering for an Orientation Program. Once you have completed this form online, an academic advisor will review your information and create your schedule. You will see activity on your account in MyOswego before you arrive to your Orientation Program.   

*Please select your Orientation program at least 5 business days prior to the start of your selected program in order to ensure that we have time to pre-register you for courses.

All new students who have attended a summer Orientation program and will be living in the Residence Halls will move in any time after 9am on Friday, August 22, 2014.
