Required and Recommended Immunizations
Required Immunizations
Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Documentation is required for registration. According to NYS law students born on or after January 1, 1957 need to provide documentation of the following: 1st MMR dose after 1st birthday and second dose at least one month or greater from 1st dose. Offered free of charge.
Recommended Immunizations:
Diptheria Tetanus Vaccine: Booster is recommended every 10 years. Offered free of charge.
Tetanus Diptheria with acellular Pertussis Vaccine (Tdap): Suggested at the next booster opportunity. Offered free of charge.
Gardasil (HPV vaccine): Available free of charge through NYS vaccines for children for men and women under 19. The vaccine is administered in 3 doses. For individuals 19 and older call the Health Center for information. Link: CDC website and Gardasil website.
Hepatitis B Vaccine: Available free of charge through NYS Vaccines for Children for qualifying individuals under age 19. Individuals 19 yrs. and older may receive the three injection series at a cost of $30.00 per injection. The Oswego County Health Department is another provider that may be helpful to you. Menactra: Available free of charge through Vaccines for Children for individuals under age 19.
Seasonal Flu Vaccine: Free of charge to students in the mid-fall semester. The campus will be notified when seasonal flu vaccine arrives.
