SUNY Oswego has an active Pandemic Influenza Planning Committee that has
been working on the College response to the possibility that Avian
Influenza will infect our campus. Having followed the research very
carefully, the committee recommends that the College should respond
quickly to any likelihood that the Campus is facing an epidemic. Being
suggested is evacuation of the campus before our students, faculty and staff
become sick with this potentially serious disease. Realizing that students may
need to be picked up on campus, students are encouraged to speak with their
families to make plans for such evacuation before an actual necessity
presents itself.
