Shelly VanSlyke, MS, CHES
Health Promotions Coordinator
Shelly is an alumni of the State University of New York at Oswego and the Lifestyles Center. She received her Master's Degree from The Sage Colleges in Albany and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. Shelly is actively involved with The Bacchus Network, American College Health Association and is the Health Promotion Section Chair of the New York State College Health Association. In her free time, Shelly enjoys reading, taking long walks, shopping, watching reality TV and cooking.

Thad Mantaro, MS
Alcohol and Other Drugs Program Coordinator
Thad joined the staff at the LifeStyles Center in August 2006 as the Coordinator of Alcohol and Other Drugs Program. Thad holds an M.S. in Counseling Services from SUNY Oswego. He has recently become a "Survey Monkey" geek.

Pattie Miller
Administrative Assistant
Pattie has worked at Oswego State since 1995. She is an integral part of the Center and works to ensure the proper functioning of the office. When she's not at work, Pattie enjoys walking, working out and cheering on her children in intercollegiate athletics.

Beth Farwell
Graduate Assistant
Beth received her bachelor’s degree in psychology in May 2006 from Oswego State. As an undergrad, Beth was a peer educator at the Lifestyles Center for two semesters and worked on Toilet Talk. She is currently working toward a master’s degree in School Psychology and hopes to one day work in an elementary school. In her free time she enjoys reading, scrap booking, riding her bike, hanging out with friends and family, and going to the beach.

Erica Vinson
Graduate Assistant
Erica received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Conflict Studies, with a minor in Philosophy, from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA. Erica is currently working towards a Master’s degree in School Psychology. She hopes to one day work at an elementary school as a school psychologist, and to be a football coach in her school district. In her free time, Erica enjoys playing football, watching the New Jersey Devils, watching Disney movies, weight lifting, and hanging out with her friends, family and fiancé. |

Alexandra Butterfield
Graduate Assistant
Alex received her bachelor's degree in English, in May 2007 from SUNY Cortland and was actively involved in residential services and student life. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and hopes to specialize in eating disorders. At the Lifestyles Center, she works on the Toilet Talk and helps plan awareness campaigns. In her spare time, she likes to listen to music, spend time with friends and family, bake, and go camping.

Susan Henry, BFA
Media Promotions Graduate Assistant
Susan received her BFA in Visual and Performing Arts from Syracuse University. She is currently a non-traditional student attaining her Master's and Teaching Certification in the MAT in Art Education program here at Oswego. She is married with three children, and is eagerly waiting for her own classroom of children to teach in January 2009.
