Selected academic achievers enter Oswego under the Presidential Scholars program, which provides a merit scholarship and social involvement opportunities. The mission of this program is to offer a value-added experience for high-achieving first-year students, support their transition to college and foster connections to leaders throughout the campus community.

Presidential Scholars receive invitations to participate in academic and cultural events, convocations and receptions with President Deborah F. Stanley and other campus leaders. These networking activities can prove beneficial as students pursue teaching assistantships, research projects, leadership opportunities, award nominations and any number of tracks in their undergraduate and postgraduate pursuits.
