• Networking Social: 8-8:30: eat, drink, and learn more about the transition from Oswego to the real world

Topic I: : Negotiating the Briar Patch
The transition from here to there can be challenging. Learn how to conduct yourself profession- ally throughout the job search process. Topics will include job search documents, the interview process (phone and in person), critical follow up, etiquette dining, and interview dress.

Topic II: A Car, Some Cash, and a Place to Crash
We’ll cover the topics that you need to hear about in order to financially survive out there. Rent or Own? Lease or buy? Managing student load debt, understanding budgeting, health insurance, taxes and why you should worry about retirement now... just a few of the topics we’ll cover.

Topic III: The Care and Feeding of Your New Boss
Congratulations, you found a job! Now the really hard part begins. Learn how to succeed your first year on the job, ensure you come back a second year, get that promotion, and prepare your- self for the next move! We’ll cover topics to include: how and why to manage your image in the workplace, identifying a mentor, critical differences between college and work life, and more!
