Text Box: Our Team SUNY Oswego SIFE was founded in 2001 with the intention to reach out to a wide range of people in order to provide for them a higher quality, more sustainable life. In 2001, Oswego was awarded Rookie of the year and went on to partake in Nationals in 2005, 2009, 2010 and were ranked in the top 10 percentile in the Nation in 2011. To bring together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business, is the mission of SIFE International. This global, non-profit organization reaches out to over 1,600 universities in 38 countries and has over 100 corporate and organizational partners. Their goal is to empower college students to make a positive difference in the world through teamwork, knowledge, skill, connections, drive and passion. 2011-2012 is shaping to be Oswego SIFE’s best year thus far with over 100 members, 14 projects and the implementation of a Business Advisory Board for the first time since 2006. Oswego SIFE has already been able to expand their impact through legacy projects as well as the development of 5 new projects.
