A leading national advocate of science, technology, engineering and math education will encourage SUNY Oswego graduates of all majors to continue pursuing discovery and innovation as alumni when she speaks Friday, May 11, at the college’s Commencement Eve festivities.

Expert speakers in the fields of feminism, science and technology will highlight a conference Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21, at SUNY Oswego.

SUNY Oswego will present a series of lecturers this semester from universities such as Harvard and Yale, Spellman and Illinois—as well as the local campus—on women in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) professions.

SUNY Oswego will host a top executive of New York Sea Grant Wednesday, Nov. 30, as she discusses women in the sciences at the college on Lake Ontario’s shore as part of the Science Today lecture series.

The National Science Foundation has awarded SUNY Oswego nearly $600,000 over five years to provide scholarships to recruit and retain talented students who otherwise could not afford to pursue degrees in science and technology fields.
