of kidnapped former faculty member
SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley today condemned the reported criminal kidnapping of former faculty member Warren Weinstein in Pakistan.
A tenured professor in Oswego’s political science department in the 1970s, Dr. Weinstein left to work with U.S. AID on behalf of people in developing countries, concentrating on economic development. He was reportedly abducted from his home in Lahore on Aug. 13.
Speaking for the SUNY Oswego community, Stanley called for his immediate and safe return to family, colleagues, and friends.
