Big-hearted campus volunteers raise funds for Wear Red campaign
SUNY Oswego faculty, staff and students turn Valentine’s Day into a Campus Center fundraiser for the American Heart Association’s Wear Red Day national campaign.
SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley, fifth from left in the second row, and Jeffrey Grimshaw, director of the college’s Office of Business and Community Relations (standing at left), join the drive’s building coordinators from across campus on Feb. 14. The OBCR-organized event raised both awareness of women’s heart health and $730. Students and employees made donations to guess the capacity of a sweetheart chocolate jar, made contributions to wear jeans for the day and received heart health information.
