Student bloggers sharing Oswego experiences

A new class of SUNY Oswego student bloggers is taking readers through the streets of Paris, behind the scenes of staging a play, into a range of environmental issues and inside their day-to-day thoughts about their college experiences.

This year’s bloggers include:

- Sherrifa Bailey, a senior public justice and psychology major, McNair Scholar and active in campus happenings
- Christopher Cook, a sophomore English major, Oswegonian writer and pop-culture commentator
- Steven DiMarzo, a junior human development major, director of student affairs for Student Association and admissions intern
- Tiffany Duquette, a senior adolescence education and French major studying in Paris, and member of the Laker women’s ice hockey team
- Tess Kaczorowski, a senior theatre major and dramaturge for the student honors production Blood Relations
- Leah Matthews, a senior elementary education major and co-captain of the women’s swimming and diving team
- Katherine Raymond, a junior journalism major, environmental writer for the Oswegonian and secretary of Students for Global Change
- Jose Terrero, a senior journalism and creative writing major, active fraternity member and admissions tour guide
- Meghan Upson, a junior business administration major active with alumni relations and the business dean’s council
- Lizz Wetherby, a junior public relations major, SA director of civic engagement and Laker Leader orientation guide

Students update about once a week on what’s happening in their busy lives, balancing the various parts of college life and sometimes giving advice to current and future students. Readers can provide feedback via a moderated commenting system.

This is the second year of the student blogging effort, coordinated by the Office of Public Affairs. In the project’s initial year, the student blogs quickly became one of the college’s most-visited Web features.
