Bizet symphony to highlight orchestra concert

The College-Community Orchestra will present works of Wagner and Bizet in concert Wednesday, May 4

Admission is free for the 7:30 p.m. performance in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre, though the orchestra will gladly accept donations. Parking is free that evening for those attending this event.

One of the concert highlights will be French composer Georges Bizet’s “Symphony in C,” a work that heralds many of the sounds heard in his later works, such as “Carmen,” according to Juan Francisco La Manna, associate professor and chair of the music department at SUNY Oswego.
