Hall director, alumnus makes appearance on Oprah

Alumnus and Onondaga Residence Hall Director Jacob Gardner appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Network and online Tuesday night.

Lifeclass screen shotThe 2009 graduate was flown to New York for a taping of the “Oprah’s Lifeclass” series on OWN. Hostess Winfrey was joined by life strategist Tony Robbins in the live broadcast from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, which is available here. Jacob’s story begins around the 55 minute mark.

Gardner, who also earned a master’s degree from Oswego in 2011, was interviewed on campus last week.

The show focuses on life lessons and overcoming obstacles. Tuesday’s episode will explore coping with fears.

During the show’s inaugural five-week run last October, more than 1.4 million people from around the world viewed live webcasts of the series and joined the Lifeclass digital classroom to participate in the companion course work.

Oprah Winfrey Network debuted last year and is available in approximately 77 million homes.
