Syracuse Symphony musicians to join 'Homage to Piano Trio'
SUNY Oswego pianist Rob Auler will team with two Syracuse Symphony Orchestra musicians in “Homage to the Piano Trio,” a Wednesday, Nov. 10, concert in SUNY Oswego’s Ke-Nekt Chamber Music Series.
The works of Mozart, Ravel and Piazzola will highlight the repertoire for the 7:30 p.m. concert in Sheldon Hall ballroom.
David LeDoux, principal cellist, and Cristina Buciu, violinist, both of the Syracuse Symphony, will join Auler, an accomplished concert pianist and associate professor of music at SUNY Oswego.
The three will present “Piano Trio in B-flat Major” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-91), “Piano Trio in A Minor” by Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) and “Verano Porteno” and “Primavera Portena,” both arranged for piano trio by Astor Piazzola (1921-92).
A preconcert talk will take place at 7 p.m. SUNY Oswego’s Artswego and the music department sponsor the Ke-Nekt series.

Buciu is a native of Bucharest, studying at the National Conservatory there and later completing her education at Boston University with Peter Zazofsky. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Romania and throughout the rest of Europe and the United States.
