Business development office earns national award
Senior business adviser Lawrence Perras (right) and business adviser John Halleron (not pictured), both based at SUNY Oswego, recently received a national award from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Honoring their achievement in Washington, D.C., during the National Small Business Week observance are (left to right) Antonio Doss, the SBA’s director of small business development centers; Watertown Regional Small Business Development Center Director Eric Constance; SBA Administrator Karen Mills; and Perras. The Oswego team at SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations works closely with small-business owners and banks in Oswego County, which is part of the Jefferson-Lewis-Oswego service area for the Watertown region.
The range of free services at SUNY Oswego’s Small Business Development Center includes counseling, assistance with preparation of and changes to business plans, micro-enterprise courses and workshops, and collecting data to help businesses make informed decisions.
