Oswego State Downtown to display works of CNY Arts Center members
The downtown branch of SUNY Oswego’s College Store will play host from May 31 to July 12 to an exhibition of artwork from CNY Arts Center in Fulton.
The free public opening reception for “Empowered Through the Arts: The Finest of CNY Arts Center” will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Oswego State Downtown, corner of West First and Bridge streets in Oswego.
The exhibition will showcase the diversity of art styles and media of at least nine artists who are current CNY Arts Center members. The include Ken Blount, Diana Bukowski, Rhoda Cunningham, Martha Lancott, Kendra Matott, Bonnie McClellan, Frank Reis, Diane Sokolowski and JoAnn VonPless.
Media in the exhibition will include oils, photography, comic-style drawings, book illustrations, digital manipulation and abstract works of found items. Members regularly exhibit in the CNY Arts Center’s ARTs in the HeART Gallery, 47 S. First St., Fulton.
Oswego State Downtown is open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. For more information on the exhibition, contact Michael Flanagan, director of Tyler Art Gallery, at 312-2112 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
