The Oswego Alumni Association will sponsor a bus trip to Kingston, Ontario, for the Canadian city’s annual Chili Fest on Saturday, Oct. 2.
The trip is open to the public, with reservations due by Sept. 24.
Participants will leave on a chartered coach from King Alumni Hall at SUNY Oswego at 9 a.m. Oct. 2. They will arrive around 11:30 a.m. in downtown Kingston, where more than 30 restaurants will provide samples of chili at Confederation Park in front of City Hall.
Attendees can sample chili, browse through Kingston’s shops and have an early dinner before heading back to Oswego.
The festival’s other attractions include Emily Fennell and Soul Flight, Georgette Fry and That Choir, a children’s area, a nearby farmer’s market, horse-drawn wagon rides and a classic car show.
The coach will leave Kingston at 7 p.m. and arrive back at Oswego about 10:30 p.m.
The cost for the bus and Chili Fest is $25 per person. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
