Oswego grad to share leadership tips
An Oswego alumnus and successful leader of a multinational company will return to campus to share his experiences with current students.
Fred Festa, a 1981 graduate of the college and president and chief operating officer of W.R. Grace, will return to campus Monday, Oct. 25. He will speak on “Leadership and What It Means” to three business classes.

Prior to joining W.R. Grace, Festa was a partner at Morgenthaler Private Equity from November 2002 to November 2003. Morgenthaler is an $850 million venture capital and buyout firm.
Festa is married to the former Marylynn Barbero, a 1982 graduate of Oswego and an education major.
“I’m very excited about being back on campus after 23 years,” Festa said. “Since I have graduated, the college has made incredible progress in having one of the top MBA schools in the country.”
Festa will provide his leadership presentation in the School of Business to students in senior-level human resource management, applied financial management and international business classes.
In addition to his presentation to business students, Festa will tour campus and meet with chemistry students and faculty members.
