The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program at SUNY Oswego needs volunteers to assist more than 100 area agencies.
People who are at least 55 years old and have a desire to help others are eligible, with opportunities to serve such programs as the Osteoporosis Bone Builders exercise program, tax assistance, senior camping, food pantries and museums.
For an enrollment application or to receive RSVP’s free online publication, Mature Living, call 312-2317. Mature Living provides information about additional volunteer opportunities, as well as general interest information about legislation, Social Security, health and wellness, recreation and more.
RSVP, sponsored locally by SUNY Oswego and the United Way of Greater Oswego County, is a federal initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Its office is in Room 103 of Rich Hall on campus.
