SUNY Oswego trainer Sue Conklin will teach women how to rest and relax, regardless of the season, in a program Friday, Dec. 14, at the SUNY Oswego Phoenix Center.
The mini-retreat, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will begin with a focused discussion about stress and its relationship to physical and emotional well-being. Participants will personalize this lesson by mapping their own stressors and behavioral response patterns, identifying controllable and uncontrollable factors, to help them better understand their sphere of influence.
During the program, participants also will learn methods to reduce and manage the effects of stress. At the close of the program, those attending will have a personal stress management plan for both their personal and professional lives.
The program fee is $149 per person. It is part of the Women’s Empowerment Series at SUNY Oswego Phoenix Center. Discounts are available for attending multiple programs or registering as a group.
