An opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 2, will celebrate the work of participants, who are candidates for the bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design or studio art. The reception in Tyler Hall will be free and open to the public.
At 7 p.m., nominated students will receive a number of awards. The Aulus Saunders Service Award honors a student who has demonstrated exceptional service to the art department. The Grant Arnold Award recognizes an outstanding junior or senior who has exhibited exceptional commitment to the field of art and has demonstrated significant growth as an artist or scholar. The Robert Sullins Award honors a student who has demonstrated exceptional growth and ability in the studio area, while the Jesse E. and Jay D. Rudolph Scholarship recognizes a student in the graphic design area.
Participation in the Spring Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition fulfills graduation requirements for the bachelor of fine arts degree offered through the SUNY Oswego art department. Students have the option of pursuing the studio art or graphic design program.
All Tyler Art Gallery events are free and open to the public. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekends. On weekends, visitors may park in any campus lot free of charge.
