The SUNY Oswego philosophy department will continue its Philosophy Fridays presentations in November on campus.
Dr. Robert Card will discuss “Moral Prescriptions: Pharmacists and Professional Ethics” on Nov. 11 and Dr. Craig DeLancey will present “The Emotion Debate” Nov. on 18.
All talks will be at 3:30 p.m. Fridays in the main lounge of Johnson Hall, a lakeside residence hall on Rudolph Road. The admission-free presentations will be open to the public. Each presentation will be followed by an open discussion.
Future presentations in the Philosophy Friday series will be “Two Examples of How Not to Argue Against Materialism” by Dr. Charles Echelbarger on Dec. 2 and “Scientific Socialism: Learning from Charles Darwin and Norbert Wiener” by Dr. Jean Chambers on March 24.
