SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley, left, speaks March 12 with Marie Hage, a senior majoring in both marketing and English, during Hage’s day shadowing the top executive on the job.
“I wanted to shadow President Stanley because I first and foremost admire her strong leadership skills with the Oswego campus,” Hage said. “She has made decisions that have changed the campus in positive ways, such as building renovations, funding and national recognition.”
Aiming for a career in higher education, Hage later shadowed Stanley’s chief of staff, Kristi Eck.
Hage said she felt reassured after the experiences that she’s on the right track.
