'Women Aloud' performances to support SUNY Oswego scholarship

A range of performers will raise scholarship funds during SUNY Oswego’s annual “Women Aloud” event at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, in the Campus Center auditorium.

Participants will include Susan Coultrap-McQuin, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Oswego, Lizette Alvarado of the Office of International Education and Programs, community member Janet Becker, young siblings Lisa and Lara Kanbur, Peggy Lynn of the women’s studies program, Jane Winslow of communication studies and dancers studying under faculty member Cheryl Wilkins-Mitchell.

Attendees can also hear an essay from Justine Padilla, winner of this year’s scholarship for a student in women’s studies—the cause supported by the evening celebrating women’s voices and contributions.

Admission is $5 for the public, $2 for SUNY Oswego students. For more information, call 312-3234.
