SUNY Oswego plans to conduct a test of its outdoor emergency notification system at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12.
The outdoor emergency notification system consists of speakers mounted on five campus buildings. The public address system will broadcast spoken-word alerts in the event of a campus emergency and may be audible beyond campus boundaries.
A sound engineering firm determined the placement of the speakers, and the college has made adjustments in response to results of the first full-fledged test in the fall.
