The repertoire will include patriotic music and a canon by William Billings from the Revolutionary War period, ragtime by Scott Joplin, a march by John Philip Sousa, a polka by Louis Moreau Gottschalk and contemporary selections by Will Ayton.

The wide-ranging program also will entail familiar popular songs arranged in the style of barbershop quartet harmony, hymn preludes and a suite with movements as diverse as blues, spirituals and hymns.

In addition to Smiley, who plays alto recorder, members of the consort include John Brunson on soprano recorder, Jane Wright on tenor recorder and Burton Phillips on bass recorder.
