Oswego, Nazareth chorales to offer Mozart's 'Requiem'


The SUNY Oswego College Choir will join the Nazareth College Chamber Singers in concerts April 23 in Oswego and the following day at Nazareth College in Rochester.

On Friday, April 23, the two choral ensembles will perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s masterpiece “Requiem” with orchestra and soloists at 7:30 p.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 103 W. 7th St. in Oswego.

Kelly Hudson, SUNY Oswego’s interim director of choral activities, will conduct.
Soloists will be soprano Elisabeth Kisselstein, mezzo-soprano Ann Marie Wilcox-Daehn, tenor Robert Strauss and bass JJ Hudson. A pre-concert talk will begin at 7 p.m.

Organizers suggest a donation of $5 per person for admission. Contact the SUNY Oswego Music Department at 312-2130 for more information.

The performers will repeat the concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 24, in a multi-chorale event at Nazareth College’s Linehan Chapel.
