SUNY Oswego, the Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and the Liverpool Public Library have partnered to offer a second “Brown Bag Lunch and Learn” professional development program free for employees of local businesses and members of the Greater Liverpool Chamber beginning April 6.
The second series, “Delivering Exceptional Customer Service,” aims to benefit businesses whose customers are their livelihood. It is geared toward employees from small to large organizations, business owners and anyone who comes in contact with a current or potential customer.
Attendees will “learn techniques to tap into the power of positive energy to diffuse situations with difficult customers, how to effortlessly ‘wow’ your customer, and discover why problems can really be opportunities to serve, not necessarily obstacles to overcome,” said Paula Behm, professional development specialist for the institute.
The series will take place in the Carman Meeting Room of the Liverpool Public Library, 310 Tulip St., from noon to 1 p.m. on three Thursdays: April 6 and 20 and May 4.
Participants are invited to bring their lunch. The Liverpool chamber will provide a beverage and dessert.

The SUNY Oswego Institute for Professional and Organizational Development in Phoenix is dedicated to partnering with business, government and non-profit organizations to develop and deliver customized employee training based on current and future business needs.
