A ceremony regarding the development of New York State’s Cohesive Leadership System—at which SUNY Oswego will receive a grant award—will be Webcast from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. today.

Oswego’s Dean of Education Linda Rae Markert and Dr. Suzanne Gilmour, chair of the college’s vocational teacher preparation department, will attend the event in Rochester. The New York Times, in conjunction with the New York State Education Department and the Wallace Foundation, will Webcast it.

The event will feature a keynote address from Dr. Lee Bolman, an expert on educational leadership. His address, “Wizards, Warriors or Mechanics: The Impact of School Leaders,” will underscore the importance of leadership in the formula for successful school reform.
