Leadership Oswego County, a program of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, has started recruiting its Class of 2011.
The deadline is July 26 to apply to take part in an intensive nine-month program designed to develop Oswego County’s leaders of tomorrow.
The program will begin its 19th year with a retreat Sept. 16 and 17, followed by class meetings the first Friday of each month. Topics will include leadership skills, Oswego County and its resources, today’s vital issues and visioning, according to Jeffrey Grimshaw, director of Leadership Oswego County and assistant director of the Office of Business and Community Relations.
The following organizations sponsor Leadership Oswego County: Entergy Nuclear Northeast, IBEW 43, National Grid, Alliance Bank, Fulton Savings Bank, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County and Vickery Insurance. They support scholarships to provide program access to participants based on financial need.
