AMA, Oswego partner for workplace performance courses

The American Management Association and the SUNY Oswego Institute for Professional and Organizational Development have partnered to offer a series of non-credit certificate programs and courses at the institute in Phoenix.

Two programs to enhance organizational and employee performance will be offered in November.

“Managing Conflict in the Workplace” aims to teach students how to gain control of tough conflict situations and transform conflict into a positive and productive force. This program is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on five Thursdays, Nov. 2 to Dec. 7. There is no program on Thanksgiving, Nov. 23.

“Productive Performance Appraisals” focuses on concepts that can mean the difference between success and failure for the individual and the organization. This program is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on two consecutive Wednesdays, Nov. 8 and 15.

Programs will be offered at the Oswego State Education Center, 70 County Route 59 in Phoenix. The cost to attend is $319 and includes tuition, AMA books and all materials.

The SUNY Oswego Institute for Professional and Organizational Development is dedicated to partnering with business, government and non-profit organizations to develop and deliver customized employee training based on current and future business needs.
