SUNY Oswego will sponsor a health fair from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Campus Center arena and convocation hall.
The admission-free fair will include displays, demonstrations, online health assessments, door prizes and informational handouts. Refreshments will be provided.
A licensed therapeutic massage therapist will offer free 10-minute chair massages. Free screenings will also be available, including anonymous depression and anxiety screenings and anonymous eating disorders screenings. Confidential consultations with Counseling Services Center staff will be offered.
Participants can experience simulated substance-induced impairment through the use of Fatal Vision goggles demonstrated by officers from SUNY Oswego’s University Police.
The college’s Counseling Services Center, Lifestyles Center and Walker Health Center are organizers of the event.
Other campus and community organizations that will be represented include the Fitness Centers, Red Cross Club, Student Association Volunteer Ambulance Corp (SAVAC), Student Health Advisory Committee, University Police, Colleges Against Cancer, Oswego County Opportunities, and Services to Aid Families.
