SUNY Oswego Metro Center to offer GMAT, GRE preparation this summer

SUNY Oswego recently announced its summer dates for the Graduate Management Admission Test and Graduate Record Examination cram courses, which begin June 15 at SUNY Oswego Metro Center, 2 Clinton Square in downtown Syracuse.

The GRE and GMAT standardized tests are admission requirements for many graduate and business school programs. SUNY Oswego’s cram courses are taught by Dan Bacich, who has worked in the test preparation field for more than three decades. The courses incorporate both test strategy and content review.

“These cram courses are designed to provide students with knowledge and tools so they can effectively prepare for and do well on the tests,” said Dr. Kimberly Armani, director of SUNY Oswego Metro Center. “A student’s score on these standardized tests can be crucial to gaining admission to a program of choice. Our cram courses are popular because students receive face-to-face instruction, and Dan works with each person, one-on-one, to help them by focusing on their specific problem areas.”

The GRE Cram Course is divided into two sections: quantitative and verbal/analytical writing. The quantitative section is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 15 and 22 and 1 to 5 p.m. June 29. The verbal/analytical writing section is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 13 and 20 and 1 to 5 p.m. July 27.

Each three-day course costs $175, including the text. Participants may register for both sections for a discount rate of $325. Additional discounts are available for SUNY Oswego students and alumni. For more information, call 399-4100 or visit oswego.edu/gre.
