Tickets for the general public will go on sale for $20 on March 1 at the Campus Center Box Office, 315-312-3073, and online at http://tickets.oswego.edu, according to the sponsoring Student Association Programming Board.
“We’re the only date in New York the first month and a half,” said Jennifer Poplarski of SAPB. “The next closest is Hershey, Pa., so this is fantastic for us.”
Doors will open at 7 p.m. April 10 for the 8 p.m. concert. General admission tickets, if any remain, will cost $25 day of show. A presale will start Feb. 22 for SUNY Oswego students with valid student ID.
The trio has earned four Grammy nominations and launched hit singles that include “Name,” “Iris,” “Black Balloon,” “Broadway,” “Slide,” “Better Days” and “Here Is Gone.”
The Goo Goo Dolls delayed release of their new album “Something for the Rest of Us” from last fall to this year. The new effort will join previous albums such as “Superstar Car Wash,” “A Boy Named Goo,” “Dizzy up the Girl,” “Gutterflower” and “Let Love In.”
The band, whose platinum-selling albums broadened appeal well beyond its punk roots, formed in 1986 in Buffalo. Members are frontman John Rzeznik on guitar and vocals, Robby Takac on bass and vocals and drummer Mike Malinin.
