'Desdemona' shakes up women's roles

Previewing Thursday, Feb. 28, and running March 1 to 3 in SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Hall lab theatre, Paula Vogel’s “Desdemona, A Play About A Handkerchief” promises to take audiences to a parallel universe for the key women in Shakespeare’s “Othello.”

Tickets for the theatre department production, under the direction of faculty member Joan Hart Willard, are priced at $5 for the preview and $13 ($7 for SUNY Oswego students) for the regular run. Tickets are available at all SUNY Oswego box offices, online at tickets.oswego.edu or by calling (315) 312-2141. The play is recommended for ages 16 and above.
