Student to display, discuss hand-made ceramic dolls

imageGraduate art student Margaret Goloski shows some of the dolls she will discuss and display at a Quest presentation at 2:15 p.m. April 20 in Room 106 of Lanigan Hall.

The ceramic figures, clad in recycled fabrics, are influenced by her research of the history of textiles from the prehistoric era until the beginning of the Renaissance. At left is a representation of Saint Drogo, the patron saint of sheep and shepherds, while at right is the figure of a backstrap weaver.

The 25th-anniversary edition of Quest, the college’s daylong symposium of scholarship and creativity, will feature 140 presentations. For more information, visit http://www.oswego.edu/questnews.
