SUNY Oswego’s College Council will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, in the meeting room of the Campus Center. The meeting will be webcast for the first time.
The governor-appointed body that oversees SUNY Oswego meets four times a year on campus. On Wednesday, members will hear a presentation by Dr. Scott Steiger of the college’s meteorology faculty and meteorology students Nicole Hannon, Jason Keeler and Joe Wegman about their work predicting lake-effect snowstorms in the eastern Great Lakes region.
Council members will also hear reports from SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley and representatives of the faculty, student body and alumni association.
College Council members include Chair David Poleto of Latham, Jane Backus of Mexico, Margaret Barclay of Pulaski, Saleem Cheeks of Troy, Paul Culligan of Troy, Stephen Greene Sr. of Oswego, Bernie Henderson of Oswego, Daniel Olson of Lyons, Carolyn Rush of Oswego and Dan Tascarella of Oswego, Student Association president.
To view the live webcast, watch for a link on Oswego’s Web site Wednesday afternoon under Happenings@Oswego or, from here, click on the highlighted word “webcast” in the first paragraph above.
This meeting was originally scheduled for Feb. 7 but was postponed because of the lake-effect snows that day.
