Fast-moving 'Collage' concert to animate stage

The SUNY Oswego music department’s annual “Collage” concert to help fund student scholarships will present fast-paced variety at 7:30 p.m. March 26 in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.

“It is a fast-paced recital with each group playing only three to five minutes, and then the next one performs,” said Todd Graber, associate professor of music and the concert’s producer.

All large college musical groups – College/Community Orchestra, College Choir, State Singers and the Wind, Jazz and Guitar ensembles—will perform, as will faculty members and student soloists.

“It features a kaleidoscope of musical styles, from classical to jazz and pop,” Graber said.

Tickets are $10 for the general public, and $5 for students, seniors and SUNY Oswego students. Reservations can be made by contacting Tyler Hall box office at 312-2141 or tickets@oswego.edu. Tickets also will be available at the door. Parking is free in campus lots on evenings and weekends.

All proceeds will support the SUNY Oswego Music Department Excellence Fund.

This year’s student soloists are junior Ariel Marcus, soprano; senior Tim Lanigan, baritone; senior Wojciech Milewski, clarinet; and junior Nate Felty and freshman Emanuel Greene, drums.

Faculty performers will include Robert Auler, piano; Trevor Jorgensen, clarinet; Graber and Lisa Kisselstein, voice; and Kristen Jorgensen, flute.
