The SUNY Oswego Festival Chorus and the College-Community Orchestra will perform Sunday, Dec. 12, in a concert featuring two pieces considered milestones of the classical period for their beauty, architecture and emotional power.
Both ensembles will present Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass” in the concert to begin at 3 p.m. in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 50 E. Mohawk St. in Oswego. Kelly Hudson, interim director of choral activities at SUNY Oswego, directs the Festival Chorus.
The orchestra, under the baton of Juan Francisco La Manna, associate professor and chair of the music department at SUNY Oswego, also will perform Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony, “Pastoral.”
