SUNY Oswego’s Small Business Development Center and the Greater Parish Chamber of Commerce will host a “Business in Bloom” workshop series from February through April.
Chena Tucker, business adviser with the small-business center, will lead the workshops, all three of which will take place 7 to 8:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Grist Mill Restaurant, 3039 Country Route 26, Parish.
The first workshop, Feb. 14, is “Creative Marketing.” It will cover best business practices in marketing, classic marketing, social media and guerrilla marketing. The second, “Customer Service 101,” will take place March 13, discussing the significance of good customer service and how it relates to the success of every business. The last workshop, “E-Commerce: The Online Advantage,” will be held April 10, addressing the changing global market and the importance of having an online presence.
Cost of each workshop is $5, and preregistration is required. Contact SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations at (315) 312-3492 or email@example.com to sign up or for more information about small-business programs.
