“River of Rushes: New York’s Montezuma Wetlands,” a documentary by Michael Ameigh, assistant provost at SUNY Oswego, is scheduled to air on WCNY-TV at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 27.
The hour-long program focuses on the wetlands west of Syracuse in Seneca and Wayne counties but also includes shots from elsewhere, including near the Lake Ontario shoreline on campus and Oswego’s harbor.
“More than 60 species of birds are featured, along with many species of wetland plants and wildflowers,” Ameigh noted.
He is a member of SUNY Oswego’s communication studies faculty, assistant provost of information resources, and a dedicated bird watcher.
