Student creativity adorns Tyler Art Gallery

Justin Davis with paintingTop student work currently fills Tyler Art Gallery in the Fall Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition, which opened Nov. 18.

Participation in the exhibition fulfills graduation requirements for the bachelor of fine arts degree offered through the SUNY Oswego art department. Students have the option of programs in either studio art or graphic design.

Studio art majors with work in the exhibition will include Marvin Arevalo, Justin Davis, Tiffany Duquette, Dylan Powell and Melissa Trinchini.

Graphic design majors slated to participate in the exhibition include Autumn Evans, Joan Houghtaling, Erin Kirkpatrick, Cheri Lehnow, Matt McAfee, Mike McMahon, Karen Oliver, Greg Richardson, Teresa Rudak, Joel Seely and Jessica Webb.

The BFA exhibition will run through Dec. 14. Appearing concurrently is “By Any Means Necessary: Works from the National Drawing Invitations,” showcasing outstanding work in drawn media through the Norman R. Eppink Art Gallery at Emporia State University in Kansas.

Exhibitions and programs presented by Tyler Art Gallery are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekends. It will be closed Thanksgiving break, Nov. 23 to 27.
