The 1994 Oswego graduate gave the student honorees three bits of advice: “Be your best self in all that you do ... live life each day as if it were your last ... and consider that failure is not an option.” Clayton discussed her decision to leave the corporate world to start her own successful business, the Harlem Tea Room.
Nearly 100 Oswego students received awards at Honors Convocation, sponsored each spring by Vega, the women’s honor society. The audience of about 300 people included parents, faculty, staff and students.
