Grant to support Oswego faculty member's research on lava flows

Rachel Lee of SUNY Oswego’s atmospheric and geological sciences department will research the behavior of lava flows on the island of Hawaii and in laboratory simulations, thanks to a highly competitive two-year, $30,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.

Bass talent recognized

Danny Ziemann, the double bass instructor in SUNY Oswego’s music department, won second prize in the jazz division of the International Society of Bassists double bass performance competition, held in June in conjunction with the bassists’ biennial convention at Colorado State University.
