Cruisin' the Campus at Spring Break to bloom with new opportunities

For the first time, spring break for area school districts from March 27 to April 5 will blossom with a SUNY Oswego Cruisin’ the Campus calendar of events that offers a wealth of opportunities for the general public to engage more fully in the life of the college, in academic ways as well as in recreation, entertainment and athletic events.

Stars come out Sunday evenings at SUNY Oswego planetarium

SUNY Oswego’s free planetarium shows continue at 7 p.m. each Sunday in the Shineman Center through the end of June, featuring a new presentation each month this spring, according to planetarium director Dr. Scott Roby of the physics department.

Paraguayan association honors Oswego's Tracy Lewis

Dr. Tracy K. Lewis, distinguished teaching professor in SUNY Oswego’s modern languages and literatures department, has been made a member and honorary professor in the Ateneo de Lengua y Cultura Guarani in Paraguay, in recognition of his career-long dedication to Guarani, the South American nation’s co-official language, with Spanish.

Fulbright to send Oswego professor to Finland for teaching, research

The Fulbright Scholar program has awarded Christopher Harris of the SUNY Oswego computer science faculty an opportunity to travel to Finland this August for nearly a year to explore cross-cultural user experience and user design, plus a variety of other research and teaching interests in human-computer interaction and business.
