College to celebrate visionary Fuller with documentary, music, art

SUNY Oswego will celebrate the late architect, environmentalist, author and inventor R. Buckminster Fuller in March with a series of exhibitions and activities surrounding a “live documentary” of Fuller’s life and ideas directed by Sam Green with music performed onstage by pioneering indie band Yo La Tengo.

SUNY Oswego's 53rd Juried Student Art Exhibition to open in February

SUNY Oswego’s 53rd annual Juried Student Art Exhibition will feature top student work from Feb. 5 to 21, in Tyler Art Gallery at Penfield Library. A free opening reception and awards program will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in the gallery.

Campus to offer public recreation, education, sports action this winter

SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley has extended a Cruisin’ the Campus invitation to residents and visitors throughout the community to enjoy family outings from Dec. 21 to Jan. 24 as the college’s recreational facilities, athletic events and venues for discovery, fitness, fun and shopping remain open during college students’ winter break.

Intercultural 'The Stone Age' explores self-identity, destructive allure of drugs

“The Stone Age,” a play adapted in a multicultural collaboration of visiting scholars from India and SUNY Oswego students, faculty and staff, will take the Hewitt Union ballroom stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.

Jazz trumpeter Dave Douglas to offer distinctive improvised music

Dave Douglas, a prolific trumpeter-composer from New York City, will display his distinctive work in a SUNY Oswego Ke-Nekt Chamber Music Series concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, in Sheldon Hall ballroom.
