Since Dec. 1, University Police have investigated several cases of vandalism and made 17 arrests.
A 21-year-old commuting student was charged with a felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Additional charges included driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, speeding, failure to keep right and driving an uninspected vehicle.
A 21-year-old Onondaga Hall resident was charged with second-degree forgery and fourth-degree grand larceny and also petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was accused of stealing a credit card from another student and using it to order food.
An 18-year-old Waterbury Hall resident was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. He is accused of vandalizing a wall phone and pulling personal bulletin boards from the walls in Scales Hall.
A 22-year-old Sterling woman was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said she had a Schedule II drug, a mixture of methamphetamine and steroids, in a lockbox in her vehicle. She was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, both misdemeanors, and operating a vehicle with no insurance, an infraction.
A 23-year-old Oswego man was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is accused of being in possession of Hydrocodone pills. He also faces charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration as well as possession of marijuana and speeding.
Motor vehicle misdemeanors
A 40-year-old Oswego woman was charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08, all misdemeanors, and a traffic infraction.
A 20-year-old Walworth man was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, marijuana, and a traffic infraction.
Police charged three additional people with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle plus infractions: a 21-year-old commuter student, a 37-year-old Stoney Creek woman and a 45-year-old Oswego man.
Police charged three people with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration: a 43-year-old Oswego man; a 23-year-old Oswego man; and a 22-year-old Fulton man, who was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate, an infraction.
A 35-year-old employee was charged with second-degree harassment. He is accused of making sexual comments to the victim.
Two 18-year-old Seneca Hall residents were charged with possession of marijuana.
A 40-year-old Phoenix man was charged with disorderly conduct. Police said he was yelling and using foul language at Southern New Hampshire University’s team during a men’s ice hockey game.
